Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging service that allows users to post their latest updates and connect with people who share your interests or are interested in what you have to say. These updates are called tweets and are limited to 140 characters each. Tweets are publicly visible by default, however, users have the option of protecting their tweets and allowing them to be visible only to subscribers or followers that they approve. Users can subscribe to the tweets of other users and this is known as following and the subscribers are known as followers.
So what’s the big deal about twitter? I am sure most of the people have heard about twitter even though they are not on twitter. Twitter has been all over the news and its popularity has surged over the past 2 years for various reasons. At times its due to tweets by some celebrity, sometimes it’s a tweet by a politician, etc. Twitter has always been in the news for some or the other reason. Twitter is changing the way people connect and communicate online.
An International Driving Permit (IDP) allows an individual to drive a private motor vehicle in another nation when accompanied by a valid license from their home country. The document is slightly larger than a standard passport and is essentially a multiple language translation of one’s own existing driver’s license, complete with photograph and vital statistics. It is not a license to operate a motor vehicle on its own.
Isn’t that great? You can drive a vehicle in any country that you are visiting once you have an International Driving Permit (IDP). The validity period of the IDP depends on the local laws of the country being visited. Continue reading
